Mount Peak

Welcome to Mount Peak Pony Club

(Group hug after a successful rally!)

Who We Are:

Mount Peak Pony Club tries hard to mirror the mission of the United States Pony Club, providing opportunities for members, aged 5-25, (and now thanks to Horsemasters members 25-100!) to participate in all disciplines of pony Club at rallies, ratings, clinics,  shows and any other explorations into equestrian outings. We have been part of the NW Region for over 28 years, and have been a part of many rider's journeys along the way.

Mount Peak Pony Club schedules two mounted meetings a month (typically one dressage/flat lesson and one jump lesson). Usually in groups no bigger than 3, and with others that are close to their skill range to ensure optimal learning in lessons. As well as putting on a cross country camp each summer to hone our skills outside the arena, and building a team bonding atomosphere! We typically try to invite a second club to give kids the opportunity to meet and ride with others that are not typically in their community.

We also have an unmounted meeting typically the first Thursday each month to focus in on horse management pertaining to success for ratings of all levels, upcoming rallies, or anything that is needing to be focused on at the time! So whether it be a bandaging and longing lesson for our older/higher rated members, we will split up and have a tack discussion for our younger/ lower rated members, so everyone is learning at their skill level.

Mount Peak Pony Club strives to be active in the Northwest Region, whether it be having our holiday fundraising, a clothing drive, or other volunteer activities around the NW to better our equine community. We also take pride in participating in our local parade,  as well as also having numerous kids who compete regularly in eventing, and dressage. Not only this but we try to remain active and competitive in rallies both Dressage, Show Jumping, Quiz and are working on sending team(s) to others such a Eventing, Tet, and more!

The Pony Club Pledge:

"As a member of the United States Pony Club, I stand for the best in sportsmanship as well as in horsemanship. I shall compete for the enjoyment of the game well played and take winning or losing in stride, remembering that without good manners and good temper, sport loses its cause for being. I shall endeavor to maintain the best tradition of the ancient and noble skill of horsemanship, always treating my horse with consideration due a partner.
